Soap flowers are made from thin layers of scented soap shaped into petals. From a distance they pass for real roses, and they keep their look for years.
They sit nicely between fresh and preserved flowers: cheaper, lightly fragrant and fine for hospital visits where fresh flowers aren't allowed. They're meant for display, not for the shower.
