Direct answer: A birthday card message works best in one or two short lines: name the person, say why you are glad they were born, and close with a warm wish. On GiftHub, add that note when you order from the birthday gifts range, then send flowers, a personalised gift, or a Penang birthday cake to the address at checkout.
How to write a birthday card message
Name the person, mention one specific thing you appreciate, then close with a simple happy-birthday line. Keep it to one or two sentences so it fits a gift card and reads clearly aloud. Longer notes suit a parent or partner; short lines suit colleagues and friends.

FAQ
How long should a birthday card message be?
Keep it to about one or two sentences. Longer notes are fine for a parent or partner, but short lines are easier to fit on a gift card and clearer when someone reads them aloud. Name the person, mention one specific thing you appreciate, then add a simple happy-birthday close.
What should I write for a colleague or boss?
Stay warm and professional. Thank them for being easy to work with, wish them a good year ahead, and avoid private jokes. A short line such as "Happy birthday — hope you get a proper break today" is enough. Pair it with a modest gift from the birthday gifts collection if you are buying as a team.
Can I add a card message on a GiftHub birthday order?
Yes on products that include a message card — check the product page before you pay. Many flower and personalised listings let you type a short note at checkout or on the product form. GiftHub does not promise a free card on every item; follow the wording on the listing you choose.
What birthday gifts can I send with the message?
GiftHub's birthday collection has a wide mix across flowers, personalised gifts and more (196 products at last count). For a cake in Penang, use the Penang cake delivery collection — every active cake needs about three days' notice, so do not expect same-day cake delivery.
Do you deliver birthday cakes in Kuala Lumpur?
Not from GiftHub's own cake range today. Birthday cakes on the site are packed in Penang. For KL and Selangor, choose flowers or a couriered gift from the birthday gifts collection instead, and check the delivery date and fee at checkout for the recipient's postcode.
