Choosing a hamper in Malaysia means matching the occasion, the recipient city, and what travels well. Browse gift hampers, fruit baskets (stronger in Penang), and cakes and hampers, then confirm the delivery fee in MYR when you enter the postcode at checkout.
What kind of hamper suits the occasion?
| Occasion | Start here |
|---|---|
| Get well / hospital visit | Fruit baskets or Penang fruit baskets, matched to the recipient city |
| Corporate thank-you | Gift hampers or cakes and hampers |
| Family celebration | Cakes and hampers |
| New mum / newborn | Couriered mum-and-baby sets (Garden 2 Bath / Little Cradle paths on gift-hampers) |
| Condolence | Not fruit-first. See condolence flower etiquette in Penang for Penang wakes |
Visiting someone unwell, or calling on family. A fruit basket travels well into a home and gets shared. Bamboo Green Florist's Penang fruit range is the deep catalogue. Busy Bee also lists a small Ipoh fruit set inside the national fruit-basket hub. Pick by recipient city using the table in the next section.
A new mum, or a new baby. Garden 2 Bath mum-and-baby sets and Little Cradle baby boxes travel by courier. Browse them via gift hampers and related newborn collections on the store.
Thank-yous and birthdays. Bath and body sets suit colleagues and teachers. In Penang, a chocolate gift from Bamboo is another route. For cake-plus-extras, open cakes and hampers.
Penang vs Ipoh fruit: what is actually true on GiftHub?
| Recipient city | Fruit on GiftHub | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Penang / nearby | Deeper Bamboo range on fruit-basket-penang (~34) plus the national fruit-basket hub | Prefer the Penang fruit hub |
| Ipoh / Perak | Small Busy Bee fruit set inside fruit-basket (~4 SKUs on the 25 Oct pack note) | Use those SKUs, or choose a non-fruit hamper / Ipoh florist blooms |
| KL / other Semenanjung | No invented KL fruit warehouse | Confirm the live product ships to that postcode. If no fruit SKU ships, choose gourmet, cakes-and-hampers, or flowers |
Do not assume a Penang fruit basket can ride to KL. Bamboo fruit routes are Penang-centred. Couriered gourmet sets are the honest path when the address sits outside that florist's coverage.
Where does the hamper need to go?
Penang and nearby Kedah. Fruit baskets, fruit-and-flower baskets, and chocolate gifts go out with Bamboo Green Florist. Enter the postcode at checkout for the final MYR delivery fee.
Ipoh and Perak. Use the small Busy Bee fruit set if a fruit SKU still ships there, or switch to florist blooms / couriered gourmet. Same rule: fee at checkout, Semenanjung coverage only.
Klang Valley and the rest of Semenanjung. Do not invent a KL fruit catalogue. Choose a couriered set from gift-hampers or cakes-and-hampers, or send flowers from the florist that covers that city. Fees stay final MYR at checkout. There is no free delivery.

What's inside? How to read a hamper listing
A photo shows the look. The listing text tells you what arrives. Check three things.
- The contents list. Count the items and check the sizes.
- The box size and weight when the listing shows them.
- What each tier adds on multi-tier baby or pampering boxes.
Read the live listing before you pay. Accessories on some personalised sets may vary slightly by design.
What if the recipient eats halal or has dietary needs?
Check the label and the vendor's listing before you buy. Do not judge from the photo alone. If a listing does not state halal status, ask before ordering for a Muslim recipient. Skip anything with alcohol or pork when that matters to the family.
How far ahead should you order?
Florist baskets and couriered sets work on different clocks.
| Format | Notice on the listing |
|---|---|
| Penang fruit baskets with same-day tag | Order by 3 PM, Mon–Sat; Sunday subject to availability (Penang) |
| Other Penang fruit / chocolate | Usually at least a day ahead |
| Couriered gourmet / baby sets | Working days to doorstep per listing (often several working days across Semenanjung) |
Lead times follow each product's tags and listing text. Cut-offs are order deadlines, not arrival clocks. Recheck on apply day.
Fruit hamper or gift set: how do they compare?
| Fruit or chocolate basket | Couriered gift set | |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery area | Penang-centred florist routes (and thin Ipoh fruit SKUs where listed) | Broader Semenanjung courier coverage per listing |
| Who delivers | Local florist riders where covered | Courier |
| Notice | Same day only when tagged; otherwise a day or more | Working days per listing |
| Shelf life | Fresh, eaten within days | Kept and used over weeks |
| Starting price | From the live fruit / chocolate listings | From the live gourmet listings |

FAQs
Is hamper delivery free?
No. Enter the recipient postcode at checkout. The delivery fee appears in final MYR.
Can I send fruit to Ipoh?
Yes, in a limited way. Busy Bee lists a small fruit set inside fruit baskets. Penang has much more depth on fruit-basket-penang. Match the hub to the recipient city.
Can I send a fruit hamper to Kuala Lumpur?
Only if a specific live product ships to that postcode. GiftHub does not promise a separate KL fruit catalogue. If no fruit SKU ships, choose a couriered gourmet set, cakes-and-hampers, or flowers from the florist that covers KL.
What is the difference between gift-hampers and cakes-and-hampers?
Gift hampers gathers mixed gift sets (including pampering and baby boxes). Cakes and hampers is the path when cake plus extras fits the occasion. Both show fees at checkout.
Is delivery Semenanjung only?
GiftHub florist and hamper framing for these collections is Semenanjung Malaysia. Enter the postcode at checkout to confirm the route and final MYR fee. East Malaysia courier timings, when a listing offers them, follow that listing's own working-day line.
How early should I order a hamper?
It depends on format. Tagged Penang same-day fruit baskets use the Penang 3 PM cut-off, Mon–Sat. Many other florist baskets need at least a day. Couriered sets need the working days stated on the listing. Always trust the product page earliest date.
